Join North Coast Adventure Centers for a Canopy Tour 70-100 feet up in the redwoods of Arcata's Redwood Park inside the Arcata Community Forest.  We are different because we are more hands-on (you are doing the gear transfers), our guide to guest ratio is close to the lowest in the business, and you will be zipping in our product testing course for our clothing line, Humboldt AdventureWear.

You will start on the ground learning terms and techniques needed to safely maneuver through the canopy. After the training is completed the next challenge will be to ascend up into the redwoods and ride a series of ziplines through the canopy. Our trained guides will help you step out of your comfort zone and experience the beauty of the redwood canopy.   You and your partner will be transfering between our three zip lines, 75 feet up in the canopy before being given the option to zip backwards or climb from 75 feet up to 100 feet (through the branches) and peak out toward Humboldt Bay.  From there you will be lowered in a Rappel-like fashion back down to the ground.

Our trained guides run tours with participants over 12 years old and 5 feet tall.  Climbing, zipping, and rappelling through the trees will help you appreciate their power and beauty.  Tours run between 2-3 hours long.

*Please note, base pricing for canopy tours is $75 per person for 3 or more participants.  If less than 3 people sign up for a tour, an additional $10 will be charged per person the day of the program. Cancellations prior to 14 days of the tour will be refunded all moneys paid less a $20 handling fee per person. Cancellations between 3 and 14 days before the tour will forfeit their deposit (50%). Cancellations less than 3 days before the tour will forfeit the full price of the tour.
