This course is a must for anyone leading groups with youth. It will give you better understand why youth act the way they do and how to manage the consequences. Learn practical techniques for therapeutically managing disruptive behaviors.   The course will focus on skills which enable the practitioner to change behavior by leading positively, building relationships, teaching strategically, structuring situations, and intervening actively when required. Psycho-Educational Groups: Learn and practice low to lead a psychoeducational therapeutic group.  Basic Counseling Skills will be covered as well as practicioner ethics.

Amy is currently the Director of Social Services for Hospice of Humboldt. Previously Amy was an staff member of Outward Bound as well as a Field Therapist, Coordinating Therapist, and later Clinical Director of Catherine Freer Wilderness Therapy Programs in Albany, OR.

Jon O'Connor, MS
Jon has lead behavior management trainings to school teachers, outdoor educators, conferences, and afterschool workers.  He was trained by Ramapo Training in New York but has run camps and adventure programs throughout the country.
